How to work out perimeter
This how i measured my stuff at home.
You need to get a tape measure then you measure stuff. If it was in millimetres like mine you have to take the 0 off the end to make it centimetres . I measured my table. It was 99 centimetres wide and 180 centimetres long. I drew a rectangle on a piece of paper and write down the numbers on each side. Then I added all them up. The total gives me the perimeter.
I repeated this on lots of other things
Kia ora Sam, I like the way you explained changing millimetres into centimetres. It is great you measured things at home. We do need to know how to do this type of measurement. I have been measuring up to buy for some new items at home and using exactly what you showed.
